Igbo Cultural Day is about celebrating the Igbo Arts and Culture in a festival, it is funded by IFAC (Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture). The Igbo Cultural Day is an annual program which aims at uniting Igbo people together as well as bringing together the Africans who are part of the diaspora

It took place in Enfield’s Lee Valley Stadium, upon arrival you would see the alignment of white canopies with the labelling of each district within Igbo community.

Each district had its own organisations and traditional food, it was filled with dancers, crusaders, performers and masquerades. The ambiance was warm and friendly everyone was dressed in traditional beads and outfits some even wearing the markings of their tribes.

The masses of people who turned up at the event were surreal and the traffic leading up to the event was the proof of the popularity and desire to go to the event being as it is its 7th year running.

However, the overall experience despite the overbearing traffic was quite riveting and it is definitely an experience to look forward to for next year.
