An Extract From A Short Story “Platform 13’s Park” By Ozora Chukwu Aged 10

A sign creaked beside me and a thick red liquid dripped from it. This sent chills through my body. An eerie wind swept through the park rustling dry leaves and sending ripples through the water. A swift dark shadow darted past me, my heart was shattered like a drum. Then silence. The silence was pierced by an ear-splitting howl; which tore through the woods. I started to run, the howls worsening with every step I took, my feet hitting the rock hard floor as I ran faster and faster.
